The author examines the process of use of foreign words in women’s magazines. Activation of functioning of foreign vocabulary in Russian language system was designated in the end of the XX — the beginning of XXI centuries. Mass media popularize foreign vocabulary and enter it in the mass use. Women’s magazines are the mass type of periodicals, that allows them to influence the audience greatly, including the influence at language level.
Thematic groups of foreign words common for women’s press, their functional descriptions, are revealed in the article, that allows to make a conclusion about information, cultural, philosophical aspects of the process of language borrowing and about influence of this phenomenon on the language system of women’s audience.read in PDF>>>
