The article is devoted to the problem of creating equal opportunities for women and men to receive engineering and technological specialities (STEM-professions). The study of historical and documentary sources has revealed the following tendency: concentration of Russian women in the field of humani-ties, men — in sciences. This logically led to women and men working in corre-sponding spheres. It is concluded, that the separation of professions into male and female ones is based on the approach known as biodeterminism. Among the technologies, capable to involve women in STEM-education, the author mentions the participation of girls in technological creativity, STEM-centers, vocational education aimed at acquiring technical professions. It is proposed to create STEM-cluster, which unites educational institutions of all types, businesses,
