The article researches the activities of women's departments of Yenisei province in 1921—1930 years. On the basis of archival material the author shows the process of engaging of workers and peasants in the socio-political sphere. The analysis is focused on the first period of women's departments work since it was characterized by the greatest organizational, material, personnel and other difficulties. Materials of the study clarify and enhance scientific understanding of women's departments as a structural basis of the Soviet feminism, through which the government was undertaking measures to implement gender equality in the society. read in PDF>>>
