The article provides the analysis of political parties’ programs registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in terms of their using the theme of demographic policy, which is seen through the lens of women’s re-productive health and abortion. There are several groups of political parties ac-cording to their interest in this issue. In order to attract new supporters political parties emphasize the speculative nature of the positioning topics of abortion and relations to the birth of children in their political programs.
