Publishing ethics


Journal «Woman in Russian Society»
The editors of the journal are guided by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The editors of the journal are guided by the values ​​of mutual respect, scientific cooperation, support and exchange of experience among the scientific community.

For authors:
— publication in the journal is free, the editors do not charge a fee either for publication, or for working with texts, or for the editorial and publishing preparation of articles for publication;
— authors are required to comply with the requirements for manuscript formatting (for more information, visit the official website of the journal «Woman in Russian Society»);
— authors submitting their articles for publication in the journal «Woman in Russian Society» guarantee that their articles are original, i.e. they have not previously been published in other journals in their current or similar form in content, and are not under consideration by the editorial offices of others publications;
— authors bear personal responsibility for the content of their articles, the accuracy of translation of abstracts, citations, bibliographic information, as well as information about themselves;
— all persons who made a significant contribution to the creation of their article must be listed as co-authors. Authors of articles guarantee that the final version of their articles and their submission for publication have been approved by all co-authors;
— manuscripts must indicate sources of funding for articles, forms of external funding (grants, subsidies and donations);
— authors are required to disclose in their manuscripts financial or any other existing conflicts of interest that may be perceived as influencing the results or conclusions presented in their articles;
— if authors discover significant mistakes or inaccuracies in their published work, they must inform the editor-in-chief of the journal about this and jointly solve this problem in order to promptly withdraw the publication or correct mistakes. If the editor-in-chief or publisher receives information from a third party that the publication contains significant mistakes, the authors are obliged to withdraw their article or correct the mistakes as soon as possible;
— authors have the right to use journal materials in their subsequent publications, provided that a link is made to the publication in the journal «Woman in Russian Society».

For the editorial board:
— the journal does not cooperate with intermediary organizations and works directly with authors. When working with them, the editorial board complies with the principles of corporate ethics;
— the editorial board of the journal, unless necessary, has the right to disclose information about the accepted manuscript to all persons, with the exception of authors, reviewers, possible reviewers, other academic consultants and the publisher;
— unpublished data obtained from manuscripts submitted for consideration cannot be used by members of the editorial board in personal research without the written consent of the authors. Information or ideas obtained during the review process related to possible benefits must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain;
— the editor-in-chief, together with the publisher (and/or the scientific community), takes adequate response measures in case of ethical claims that relate to the reviewed manuscripts or published materials.

For reviewers:
— reviewers are obliged to give an objective assessment, clearly and reasonably express their opinions; personal criticism of authors is unacceptable;
— reviewers should identify significant publications that are relevant to the topic and not included in the bibliography of the manuscript. Any statement (observation, conclusion, or argument) previously published must have an appropriate bibliographic reference in the manuscript. Reviewers should also bring to the attention of the editor-in-chief any significant similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published work within the reviewers' area of ​​expertise;
— reviewers cannot use unpublished data obtained from manuscripts submitted for consideration in personal research without the written consent of the authors. Information or ideas obtained during the review process related to possible benefits must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain;
— reviewers should not participate in the review of manuscripts if there are conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative or other interactions or relationships with any of the authors, companies or other organizations associated with the submitted article.
